No time for that!

Someday maybe I will have time to watch the news again. Then, maybe I can have an intelligent conversation with someone who says to me, "Can you believe about those two missing kids being found?" Okay, I do know a teeny bit of that story, but only what I could read on yahoo! news (didn't have time to watch the video clip).

We are too busy to watch the news. Busy trying to figure out if this kind of poo is from Rotavirus or Noravirus or neither. Busy trying to figure out the best way to remove said poo from the back of every one of Charlotte's outfits, since she only "goes" every two or three days, usually in the exersaucer, and it goes all the way up her back. Busy trying to figure out when I'm going to have time to take the Christmas tree down (last year it was up until February). Busy giving the baby breathing treatments every four hours. Busy folding six loads of laundry I did over the weekend. Busy listening to a "barking cough" coming from the one child upstairs who is neither sick nor has asthma.

So next time you see me, let's have a current events report. Remember, the kind you did in high school? You read the paper or watch the news, then summarize for me the current event of your choosing. Oh, and I need you to do it in less than 15 seconds. Because at that point someone under four feet tall is likely to need me again.

Hi Crissy!

It's Irene (Seth's Mom). I can relate to what you are going through and I only have two kids. I feel and sympathize with you. My tree is still up. I also read the new on-line. I also watch my favorite TV shows on-line with limited commercials and no kid interruptions because I do it while they are sleeping.

Questions? Are you breast or bottle feeding Charlotte? Does Charlotte have a runny nose with the exploding diarrhea? Is she fussy also with the diarrhea?

I enjoy reading you blogs. You have a lot of talent for writing. You should consider placing your blogs in a book. They lift me up when I am blue and give me laughter when I am sad. I check your blog frequently, so when you are too busy to write just remember I am there waiting for you, so I can listen and understand what you are going through. We are in the throws of motherhood together. You are a lot more organized than I am. You are an inspiration for those of us who are struggling with only two kids. Keep on smiling and writing, PLEASE!!!!!

Nice talking to you.

Hey, Irene. You're so sweet to care! :) As for the diarrhea, it was a couple of weeks ago, so is a moot point. But, thanks for asking, anway!

And, yes, I would be completely out of touch without TiVo and Yahoo!news.

Hi Crissy,

It's Laurie from Tyler Place. I've been trying to catch up with some far-away friends, so I decided to take a look at your blog and you are NOT alone. I am pretty much going through the same thing with my 3 kiddos. We finally took our tree down last weekend, actually I took the tree down. Benton came home and the tree was down and everything was put away. I was so tired of not having time to do it, that I just did it. As far as the news, I rely on Benton to give me a run-down every couple of days. I try real hard to stay up to watch the 11 o'clock news, but by then I'm to exhausted to care about what they are talking about. I just need to know what the weather is going to be like in the morning, so I can dress the kids accordingly.

Anyway, I will talk to you soon and stay strong. Our quiet days are somewhere in our future. (I said somewhere, not soon).....
